The headliner on Friday: <\/strong>MACERATION<\/strong>\u00a0at Coastrock Festival VI<\/h2>\n

An egg captain and 666 bottles of rum!<\/p>\n

Imagine a top international thrash band from Denmark that started causing trouble back in 1987.
\nFor simplicity's sake, let's just call it INVOCATOR<\/strong>.
\nMan schaue sich die Member-Liste an und sieht, dass ein gewisser Jakob Schultz dort auf dem grandiosen Debut „Excursion Demise“ die Saiten zupfte.
\nNow imagine that this Jakob Schultz founded a death metal band with his then Invocator bandmate Jacob Hansen.
\nThen Schultz leaves the band and in the same year of leaving he records a death metal album with his new band MACERATION that somehow sounds like a death metal version of his thrash band.<\/p>\n

And now imagine that it takes 30 years (!) to produce a successor to the debut.
\nBut not just any successor, but a MONSTER of an album!<\/p>\n

Wenn man das Album dann noch passend „It never ends …“ nennt, es im Unisound Studio, bei keinem geringeren als Dan Swan\u00f6 aufnimmt und von ihm produzieren l\u00e4sst – und final der Mastermind von Edge of Sanity auch noch die Vocals auf dem Album \u00fcbernimmt, dann kann es nur gut sein.<\/p>\n

And it definitely is!
\nIf you love the old Edge of Sanity, you can't ignore this album, this band.
\nIf you were worried that the frontman and growler Jan Bergmann Jepsen, who joined after the album release, wouldn't be able to do LIVE what Swan\u00f6 presents on the recording, you'd be wrong!
\nJepsen does it really well and doesn't miss a Swan\u00f6 at all.<\/p>\n

These Danes are an old-school death metal band and are rightly the headliners of DBT Friday at this year's Coastrock VI Festival!<\/p>\n
